Job Matching

Zunamu's job matching feature helps you evaluate how well your qualifications align with job opportunities you find while browsing. This guide explains how to use this powerful tool effectively.

How Job Matching Works

The job matching process follows these steps:

  1. Our browser widget detects job descriptions as you browse job sites
  2. You initiate a match between your profile and the detected job
  3. Zunamu's AI analyzes compatibility between your resume and the job requirements
  4. You receive detailed match results with actionable insights

Installing the Browser Widget

To use job matching, you need to install our browser widget:

  1. Log into your Zunamu account
  2. Navigate to Settings > Browser Widget
  3. Follow the installation instructions for your browser
  4. Confirm the widget is active by looking for the Zunamu icon in your browser toolbar

Matching with Job Descriptions

When browsing job listings with the widget active:

  1. The Zunamu icon will light up when it detects a job description
  2. Click the icon to open the widget panel
  3. Select which of your uploaded resumes to use for matching
  4. Click "Start Matching" to begin the analysis

Understanding Match Results

The match analysis provides several key metrics:

Overall Match Score

A percentage score (0-100%) indicating your overall compatibility with the job requirements.

Category Scores

Detailed scores for specific areas:

  • Skills Match: How well your skills align with job requirements
  • Experience Match: How your work history compares to what's requested
  • Education Match: How your educational background matches requirements

Strengths Analysis

Areas where you show strong alignment with the job:

  • Technical skills that match the requirements
  • Relevant experience that fulfills job needs
  • Educational background that meets or exceeds requirements

Gap Analysis

Areas where your profile doesn't fully meet job requirements:

  • Missing skills that are required or preferred
  • Experience gaps compared to job expectations
  • Educational requirements you might not meet

Skill Match Details

For each skill mentioned in the job description, you'll see:

  • Whether you have the skill
  • The importance of the skill to the job
  • Your proficiency level (if detected in your resume)

Improving Your Match

Based on the match analysis, Zunamu provides:

  1. Resume Improvement Suggestions: Specific changes to highlight relevant experience
  2. Skills to Acquire: Important skills to develop to improve your match
  3. Tailored Resume Option: Generate a customized resume highlighting your most relevant qualifications
